I’m a beginner and only rely on ads + the shop to get ressources.
Upgrading stats through training has become more expensive from lvl 20, and I’m wondering at which point it’s good to eventually stop at, as I noticed gear enhancements are SO much more efficient in comparison.

tldr gear is better till you can upgrate it
I’ve stucked at stage 3.x, where you have to defeat the boss. I upgrated HP and ATTACK to lvl 28, DEF and SKILL ATACK to 10 lvl. I didn’t make it : D I had blue only equip. When I upgrated equip to all violet: sword, armor, ring 20 5 stars; hat, shield, amulet 10. And it worked!
Though 4-1 boss is hard again, my nearest goal’s to up the rest of the equip. I didn’t find info about higher lvl than violet and think there’s no such. So you’ll need to upgrate all those stats equivalently.
As a beginner relying on ads and the shop, it’s smart to limit expensive stat training after level 20 and shift focus to enhancing your gear instead, since gear upgrades usually provide far greater power boosts for your resources spent.
