Losing arena score while attacking?

I am confused why I am losing score while attacking in the arena. I haven’t seen this before, and this is not how the rules say it should work.

Sometimes you’ll get negative score when you are defeated multiple times while you are fighting an opponent. If the battle log adds the score correctly then you don’t have to worry about it.
