Step count stopped working

I am playing with a Motorolla x, the steps count was working just fine earlier today and in the previous days, but since I reached 7812 steps today it stopped counting. I tried restarting the game and my cellphone as well, but nothing works. Any clue of what is going on? My username is r97eew

My notifications were off, so I could not tell. I reinstalled the app the evening after I posted this and it started working again. Not sure what the bug was, the game was working normally for about 5 days before it stopped counting steps. Will keep you posted if it happens again, thanks for your reply.
