Hello. Every time when I want to start tracking steps the app says that phone does not support tracking, only fitbit. I have Meizu m5. Can it be fixed somehow? Thank you.

Hi Catsaur,

We use motion sensors in Android phones to track steps. Unfortunately if the game is showing not support phone tracking, that indicates the phone doesn’t have any motion sensors, and I’m afraid the only other option is to use a Fitbit.

Thanks, but other apps in Playmarket can track my steps.

Most pedometer apps track steps using both motion sensors and build-in accelerometers. According to Meizu m5 specs on GSMArena, it has accelerometer and this is why those apps are able to track the steps.
